COVID-19 Update

To The Wonderful, Loyal Patients Of George Dental Associates:

We Want You To Feel Safe Receiving Treatment At George Dental

The team at George Dental hopes this letter finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. Our community has been through a lot over the last several months, and we know that we are all eager to get back to resuming normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, the one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to your health and safety at George Dental.

As you know, infection control is top priority at George Dental. Our infection control protocols are necessary to safely treat our patients, and ease anxiety during the COVID-19 crisis. Because of this situation we have implemented new infection control protocols, and we would like to take this time to educate you on them. It is of the utmost importance to us that you feel comfortable coming in for treatment at George Dental.

Our office adheres to infection control protocols made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow these organizations closely, so that we are constantly up-to-date on any new rulings and guidance. Our infection control protocols are current and adhere to each agencies’ guidelines.

You may see these changes implemented at you next appointment. We have made protective improvements to our infection control protocol to assure the health and safety of our patients and team. For example:

  • Our front office staff will be communicating with you before your appointment to ask you some screening questions. These screening questions will be asked again at your appointment.

  • There will be new signage on the front door and vestibule door asking you to please use hand sanitizer, keep coats and belongings with you, and not bring company with you to your appointment

  • We will be practicing social distancing in the waiting room; you may even be asked to wait in your car until the dentist/hygienist is ready to treat you

  • The waiting room will no longer offer magazines because these items cannot be sanitized properly

  • Our front office is committed to sanitizing all touched surfaces in the waiting room and check-in/check -out areas, and restroom

  • Staff will be wearing N95 masks, head shields, hair protection, and disposable gowns

The George Dental team is looking forward to seeing all of our patients again.

We are happy to answer any questions/concerns that you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you—and every patient—safe in our care.
