At George Dental Associates, our professionals know that dental health is not just about white smiles: it’s about having strong teeth and healthy gums. We aim to educate our patients in a safe environment while offering them necessary comprehensive care. We understand that many people have anxiety about dental treatment, so we created a soothing environment and a scheduling system that never keeps you waiting long. By combining the latest technology with traditional techniques, we give our patients the best dental care.
Meet Our Doctors
Michael P. George, D.D.S.
Dr. Mike graduated in 1976 from a Uniontown Area High School. He attended West Virginia University, and graduated Cum Laude in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1984 from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. In 1984, Dr. Mike joined his brother, Mallard, at George Dental Associates. Upon Dr. Mallard’s retirement in 2011, Dr. Mike assumed the practice at George Dental Associates.
Dr. Mike is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania, and is a former President of the Fayette County Dental Society.
Dr. Mike plays a large part in the community and has been a part of several committees and boards along the way, including the following:
Served as a Chairman: Children’s Dental Health Month of Fayette County; Children’s Dental Health Month for the Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania; American Heart Association of Fayette Division; Uniontown YMCA
Served as a Campaign Chairman: Phase IV Capital Campaign for YMCA expansion in 1998; Capital Campaign to raise $1.1 Million for St. George Maronite Church renovation in 2014
Served on the Board or Council: Southwestern Pennsylvania Dental Society; Uniontown Hospital for over 15 Years; Uniontown YMCA for over 25 Years; West Virginia University Board of Governors for the Alumni Association of the School of Dentistry, and is a former President; St. George Maronite Church Parish Council for 25 Years, and has served as President for several terms; Pennsylvania Dental Association Delegate
Dr. Mike is passionate about restorative prosthetics focusing on crown and bridge work and esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Mike lives in Uniontown with his lovely wife, Paula, and their two beautiful daughters, Kendall and Erin.
Ashley N. Parker, D.D.S.
Dr. Ashley Parker is a native of West Virginia. Dr. Ashley attended Fairmont State University for her undergraduate studies, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Ashley was also awarded Top Biology Student from Fairmont State University in 2007. After college, Dr. Ashley received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from West Virginia University in 2011. She was also awarded the Periodontal Award from West Virginia School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Ashley wanted to give back to the community and took a position as a rural health care dentist in Bedford, Pa. There, Dr. Ashley received vital knowledge and exposure to all aspects of dentistry. The experiences of working in rural health helped mold her into the compassionate, caring dentist she is today.
In 2014, Dr. Ashley proudly joined the team at George Dental Associates. Dr. Mike has been an excellent mentor over the years, and she works side by side with him practicing dentistry in the same fashion. She is passionate about esthetic dentistry, and enjoys treating patients of all ages. Dr. Ashley also excels with pediatric patients, and is known for her creative balloon drawings.
Dr. Ashley enjoys being part of the community. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Uniontown Area YMCA and on the West Virginia University Board of Governors for the Alumni Association of the School of Dentistry.
Dr. Ashley and her husband, Jordan, enjoy working out, hiking, board games, and cooking. They just welcomed their son, Maddox, in May of 2021. Maddox is the most incredible blessing. He has an infectious smile that will light up any room. He and his golden retriever brother, Cooper, are always getting into mischief. Dr. Ashley is so grateful for the privilege of being Maddox’s mommy. Dr. Ashley looks at her patients as family and looks forward to treating Uniontown and the surrounding communities for years to come. A gentle hand, compassionate nature, and honed skill is how we practice at George Dental.
